The Haven Highland Creek is dedicated exclusively to Memory Care and is equipped to look after residents living with every stage of dementia, including advanced conditions. The community is prepared for those who wander during the day or night and maintains support for residents who are up all night. Licensed nurses are on site to monitor chronic conditions, oversee medication management, manage diabetes care, and coordinate hospice services when needed. Regular visits from occupational, physical, and speech therapists, as well as podiatrists and dentists, further reduce the need for outside appointments.
Around-the-clock care is delivered by a team that includes RNs, LPNs, and awake night-shift staff who have all undergone background checks. Residents who require full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting receive hands-on help, and the community can accommodate walkers, standby supervision, and one-person transfers. The building itself is laid out specifically to minimize confusion and accommodate memory loss, and an on-site activity director structures daily programs to keep residents engaged and oriented.
Living options range from studios to larger layouts, though not every apartment includes every feature. Some residences offer wheelchair-accessible showers, in-unit washer and dryer, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and utilities bundled into the monthly fee. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided, and residents can enjoy outdoor walking paths, garden spaces, and several patio areas. Limited parking is available for those who still drive, and the community is pet friendly in select units.
Meals are prepared three times a day and served restaurant-style in a secured dining room that supports cueing or hand-over-hand assistance if needed. Menus can be adjusted for low-sodium, vegetarian, kosher-style, gluten-free, or other allergen-sensitive diets, and healthy snacks are accessible between meals. Staff monitor intake for residents who need help maintaining proper nutrition or hydration.
Residents have access to a range of amenities and services, including wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, concierge assistance, scheduled exercise classes, and a LifeAlert system for rapid response. A library, computer lounge, and on-site physician visits add further convenience. Pets are allowed in accordance with community guidelines; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
