Champlain Valley Senior Community offers two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who need help with daily activities receive support while maintaining as much independence as possible, and those living with dementia benefit from a secured Memory Care program that relies on staff with specialized training for cognitive conditions. Short-term respite stays are available for families who need temporary relief, and an on-site doctor helps oversee diabetes management, mental-wellness programming, and general medical oversight.
Clinical resources extend beyond standard assisted living. Licensed nurses are on site 12–16 hours a day, backed by an emergency call system and a full sprinkler system in all resident areas. A skilled nursing facility is located on the grounds for more complex needs, and the team can provide wound care, medication management, incontinence services, ambulatory support, and hospice coordination. Programs are designed specifically to accommodate memory loss, and pet-focused activities are offered for residents who benefit from animal interaction.
Accommodation choices range from studio and efficiency layouts to ground-floor units, some with kitchenettes and wheelchair-accessible showers. Features such as central air conditioning, cable or satellite TV, Wi-Fi, phone lines, and fireplaces are available in many—but not all—living spaces. Outdoor walking paths, landscaped and butterfly gardens, uncovered parking, and both indoor and outdoor common areas add to daily convenience. The community is pet friendly, though individual units may have specific guidelines.
Dining follows a flexible schedule with restaurant-style service and all-day dining options. Regular menus include low-sodium, no-sugar-added, gluten-free, kosher-available, and vegetarian selections, and healthy snacks are accessible between meals. Room service is offered when residents prefer to dine privately, and seasonal barbecues or picnic events are scheduled when weather permits.
Residents can take part in clubs, fitness and wellness programs, arts and crafts sessions, movie nights in the theater room, and organized day trips. Indoor walking paths support year-round activity, and the swimming pool is available for low-impact exercise. Social events such as holiday parties, live performances, and community outings round out the calendar, providing structured engagement for a variety of interests.
