Heritage at The Plains at Parish Homestead is licensed for Assisted Living and maintains 12–16 hours of nursing coverage each day, with nurses, physical therapists, a podiatrist, and medication-management professionals available on site. The community accepts respite and short-term stays, supports residents who follow diabetes care plans, and offers mental wellness programming. A sprinkler system and an emergency call system back up clinical services. While the property has an enclosed courtyard and a separate area originally designed for memory care, it is not currently marketed for dementia support.
Personal care is adjusted to match each resident’s capabilities. Staff can deliver full assistance with bathing, some physical help with toileting, standby supervision for dressing, and monitor meal intake for residents able to feed themselves. Transfer support ranges from simple standby help to a one-person lift, and the campus is accessible to walkers and wheelchairs. Laundry, dry-cleaning, incontinence care, ambulatory support, and hospice coordination are available, and residents in the independent-living or senior-apartment wings can transition to Assisted Living without leaving the property.
Apartments differ in size, layout, and proximity to common areas. Every unit ties into the emergency call system and receives regular housekeeping, but not all apartments include the same view, storage, or courtyard access, so families should confirm individual features during a tour.
Dining follows a set menu prepared to accommodate common health requirements, with snacks offered between meals. Residents managing diabetes can arrange meal timing with nursing staff, and those needing encouragement or oversight at the table receive it. Some floor plans contain limited kitchen facilities, while others do not; prospective residents should verify cooking options before choosing a unit.
Amenities extend beyond basic care and include a barber-beauty shop, exercise room, library, café, game room, internet access, and landscaped communal gardens. A shuttle is available for scheduled medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
