Walden Place offers two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Assisted Living residents receive help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders, while still maintaining as much independence as possible. Memory Care is structured for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, providing a secure environment and staff trained in dementia-specific techniques to address cognitive changes and reduce confusion.
Daily Up and About Checks are standard for every resident, ensuring prompt attention if someone’s routine or condition changes. On-site medical professionals develop and oversee Personalized Care Plans that outline medication schedules, therapy recommendations, and any clinical follow-up required. This systematic approach allows staff to adjust support quickly if a resident’s health status shifts, providing a consistent layer of safety and monitoring.
Accommodations range from studio to one-bedroom layouts. All apartments include basic utilities, and some have private outdoor areas such as small patios or balconies, which can be helpful for fresh air or container gardening. Because floor plans vary, not every residence features every option, so prospective residents should confirm specific details during a tour.
Meals are prepared in-house using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to emphasize freshness and variety. The dining team serves three scheduled meals daily and keeps nutritious snacks available throughout the day for residents who prefer flexible eating times or need extra calories between meals. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.
Residents have access to a library and computer lounge for reading, internet use, and email communication with family. Structured clubs and community groups meet regularly, offering organized activities that encourage social interaction and help residents maintain hobbies or explore new interests.
