Buena Vida Rehab and Nursing Center provides 24-hour skilled nursing care designed for individuals who need ongoing medical oversight. The staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants who manage post-acute recovery, chronic condition monitoring, wound care, IV therapy, and pain management. Short-term rehabilitation services such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy are available seven days a week, and treatment plans are updated regularly under the direction of attending physicians.
Beyond direct medical treatment, the facility offers medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living, continence support, and coordination with outside specialists for podiatry, dental, optometry, and mental health services. Social workers help residents and families with care planning and discharge coordination, while on-site diagnostic services limit the need for outside appointments. An in-house pharmacy service expedites prescription adjustments, and regularly scheduled care conferences keep families informed of progress.
Resident accommodations include a mix of private and shared rooms equipped with hospital-grade adjustable beds, accessible bathrooms, and emergency call systems. Some rooms feature in-room climate controls, cable television, and Wi-Fi access. Not all accommodations have all the features, and room availability depends on current census and care requirements.
Meals are prepared under the supervision of a registered dietitian, and menus account for therapeutic diets such as low-sodium, diabetic, mechanical soft, and pureed options. Three daily meals are served in a communal dining room with staff available to assist residents who need help eating; tray service to the room is offered when medically necessary. Snacks and hydration stations are provided between meals, and family members can arrange to share a meal with residents with advance notice.
