Beehive Homes of Santa Fe provides two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Licensed caregivers are on duty around the clock to monitor residents, manage medications, and coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and rehabilitative specialists. Memory Care residents receive additional oversight that includes behavior monitoring, redirection techniques, and care plans tailored to various stages of dementia. A nurse is available for routine health assessments, and the community can arrange on-site visits from physical, occupational, and speech therapists when ordered by a physician.
Beyond the core medical services, the staff helps with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support. Each apartment is equipped with an emergency call system, and common spaces use secured entries to reduce wandering risk for memory care residents. Scheduled transportation is offered for off-site medical appointments, and routine wellness checks are performed to track changes in weight, vitals, or functional status. Housekeeping, personal laundry, and linen services are included, relieving residents of household chores while ensuring a clean environment.
Accommodation options include private and shared suites, each with an accessible bathroom and an individual climate-control system. Some units feature added conveniences—such as a kitchenette or a private patio—while others provide a more basic layout; not all accommodations have all the features. All rooms are equipped with emergency pull cords, and residents may furnish their spaces with personal items if they choose. Common areas include living rooms, a secured courtyard for memory care residents, and multipurpose rooms for activities.
Dining services provide three daily meals prepared in-house, along with snacks available throughout the day. Menus are reviewed by a dietitian to meet general nutrition guidelines and to accommodate physician-ordered diets such as low-sodium, diabetic, or mechanical-soft. Residents needing help with eating receive assistance, and Memory Care meals are served in a smaller dining room to minimize distractions. Staff members monitor food intake, and menu preferences are gathered regularly to keep selections aligned with resident tastes.
