The Residence at Voorhees provides two primary levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care—both designed to support residents with moderate dementia and a range of medical needs. Care teams are prepared to manage residents who wander during the day or night, may attempt elopement, require monitoring when up all night, use oxygen, need specialized diets, or manage diabetes with either oral medications or insulin injections.
Around-the-clock clinical oversight is standard, with a nurse on site 24 hours a day and another nurse on call. The community has an activity director and maintains continuous staffing and security, including door alarms, pull-cord alerts, and personal emergency response systems that notify staff immediately. On-site medical services cover podiatry, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric conditions. Staff can provide full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and they are trained to handle transfers ranging from stand-by support to two-person assists using walkers or wheelchairs.
Accommodations include studio and one-bedroom apartments, some of which feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual climate controls, and cable service. Residents may also personalize their space with paint or décor, although not every apartment contains all of these features; availability depends on the specific unit.
Meals follow a set menu prepared by culinary staff, with snacks available throughout the day. The kitchen accommodates physician-ordered or preference-based diet modifications such as low-sodium, diabetic, or texture-altered plans to align with each resident’s care requirements.
Residents have access to parking, are welcome to bring pets, and can move freely through wheelchair-accessible common areas that include a barber/beauty shop, movie room, wellness center, internet stations, communal gardens, and a stair glide.
