Cardinal Village offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living, with medical oversight designed to keep residents as healthy and safe as possible. The community accepts residents who wander during the day or night, need wound care, use oxygen, follow special diets, or require diabetes management by oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. Staff also work with adults under 60 who need support and with individuals who live with moderate dementia. Medication coordination is handled on site to reduce errors and maintain consistent dosing schedules.
Registered and licensed nurses are on the property 24 hours a day, backed up by additional nurses on call. The building is staffed by awake night-shift personnel, and every entrance features alarms or Wander Guard systems to help protect residents who may roam. Pull cords in living areas connect directly to staff and can also summon 911 when necessary. Bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting assistance is available at the full-assist level, and transfer help ranges from supervision with a walker to two-person lifts for wheelchair users. An activity director keeps daily routines structured and engaging while security staff remain on duty around the clock.
Living spaces can include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable service, and residents may paint or decorate their rooms. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided, although not every accommodation includes every listed feature. Independent Living residents can opt for weekly housekeeping, laundry, and a monthly meal plan tailored to their needs.
Meals are served three times daily, with a set menu and an on-order option for added choice. Snacks are available between meals, and the kitchen can accommodate physician-ordered diet modifications or resident preferences for salt, sugar, texture, or other restrictions.
Amenities include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common spaces, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, and communal gardens. Regular religious services are held on site. Transportation is scheduled for medical visits or local errands, and the property is close to public transit. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
