Cedar Crest/Mountainview Gardens offers Assisted Living, Independent Living and dedicated Memory Care so residents can stay in one community even as needs change. Nurses (RN and LPN) are on site around the clock and backed by additional nurses on call 24 hours a day. Specialized monitoring is in place for residents who wander during either morning or evening hours, and the team is trained to support advanced dementia conditions. Routine medication management, vital-sign checks and coordination with outside physicians are part of daily operations, ensuring each resident receives prompt clinical attention.
Hands-on support is available for bathing, eating, dressing and toileting at the full-assistance level. Mobility help ranges from simple standby cues all the way to one-person, two-person and Hoyer-lift transfers, accommodating walkers and wheelchairs alike. On-site clinicians provide podiatry, audiology and dental services, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric conditions. Safety measures include background-checked staff, awake night shift coverage, secured fencing at the front and rear, door alarms, WanderGuard technology and emergency pull cords that alert staff or dial 911 directly. An activity director and 24-hour security presence round out the support structure.
Apartments can include a private bathroom, kitchenette, furnishings, individual climate controls, cable service and the option to paint or decorate, although not every unit has every feature. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are standard, and some floor plans place laundry machines right in the unit for added convenience. Dining choices cover a set menu, made-to-order selections, all-day snacks, in-room tray service and a private dining room for family visits. Therapeutic diets such as gluten-free, mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid and vegetarian are prepared under staff supervision. Independent Living residents may add medication-management monitoring, housekeeping, laundry and a monthly meal plan to fit their personal routine.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-accessible pathways, a pool, exercise room, movie theater, wellness center, barber/beauty shop, library, communal gardens and special-interest clubs. Internet service, a concierge desk, stair glides, on-site religious services and designated outdoor smoking areas are also available. Transportation options include a community shuttle for medical appointments, a town-car service and proximity to public transit. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
