CareOne at the Cupola delivers two primary levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care—both designed to handle complicated medical profiles. The community accepts residents who wander day or night, display combative or other behavioral issues, stay up all night, or live with advanced dementia. Clinical staff manage wound care, oxygen therapy, special diets, and diabetes in all forms, including oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale insulin. Residents under 60 years old can also be accommodated. On-site podiatry reduces the need for outside appointments, helping residents maintain continuity of medical oversight without leaving the building.
Daily support is structured around 24-hour nursing coverage by RNs and LPNs, supplemented by awake night staff and a dedicated activity director. Safety measures include background-checked employees, door alarms, fenced outdoor areas, wander-guard technology, pull cords, and PERS devices. Full-assistance help is available for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer options range from basic standby or walker assistance to two-person transfers and Hoyer-lift support for bed-bound residents, allowing the community to accept a wide range of mobility needs while maintaining consistent staffing ratios.
Residences vary, and not every unit includes every feature, but options can include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent climate controls, cable access, and the ability to paint or decorate the space. These choices allow incoming residents and their families to select the level of privacy and independence that suits their preferences and care requirements.
Meals are prepared with diet modification in mind, covering everything from carbohydrate-controlled menus for diabetics to physician-directed special diets. Food can be ordered on demand within scheduled hours, and snacks are available throughout the day and evening, making it easier for residents whose eating patterns may be irregular due to medical or cognitive conditions.
The campus offers resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, and transportation services that pair with close proximity to public transit for outside appointments or outings. Amenities include outdoor smoking areas, communal gardens, an exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, and on-site religious services, plus a barber and beauty shop. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
