Harmony Village at Stanwick Road is a dedicated memory care community equipped to serve residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, including advanced stages. The team is trained to manage wandering behaviors—whether they occur in the morning or at night—elopement risk, combative episodes, and residents who remain awake overnight. Clinical staff can also address wound care, oxygen management, diabetes managed with oral medication, and the unique needs of residents under 60. Mobility services span walker, wheelchair, standby or supervised transfers, one-person or two-person assists, and full transfers using a Hoyer lift.
Registered and licensed nurses are on site around the clock, with additional nursing support on call 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks, and an awake night shift and 24-hour staffing provide continuous supervision. Door alarms and full-time security help protect residents prone to wandering or unsafe exits. An activity director plans structured engagement suited to cognitive decline, while on-site podiatry helps residents maintain foot health. If needed, staff provide complete assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
Apartments are designed to reduce confusion and are offered in several layouts. Some include a private bathroom, furnishings, and cable service, though not every unit has every feature. Families can select the option that best matches the resident’s preferences and budget.
Residents receive three daily meals prepared to accommodate texture modifications, portion control, and physician-directed diets. Staff oversee nutrition for those requiring feeding assistance, and snacks are available throughout the day to support steady caloric intake and blood-sugar stability.
The campus offers resident parking for those who still drive, fully wheelchair-accessible common areas, and community-wide internet access for video calls, email, and entertainment.
