Spring Oak at Forked River offers two primary levels of support: Assisted Living for residents who need help with day-to-day activities and Memory Care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Short-term respite stays can be arranged, giving caregivers temporary relief while allowing guests to benefit from the same services as full-time residents. These options are reinforced by an on-site physician presence and regular visits from a speech therapist to address communication and swallowing concerns.
Residents have access to a wide range of clinical services without leaving the building. Licensed nurses are on duty, and the community maintains an emergency call system and secured environment for added safety. Care plans can draw on on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy, ambulatory and incontinence support, hospice coordination, and dental and podiatry services. The goal is to provide consistent monitoring and intervention, whether a resident needs routine health maintenance or more specialized medical attention.
Living spaces include studios and efficiency apartments, some equipped with wheelchair-accessible showers, in-unit washers and dryers, wall-to-wall carpeting, central air conditioning, and window treatments. Library and computer lounge access, Wi-Fi, and private phone lines support day-to-day convenience. Housekeeping is provided, and select units have outdoor access. The residence is pet-friendly, although not every accommodation includes every listed feature.
Three meals a day are prepared on site and served in a communal dining room. Menus are designed to meet varied dietary needs while offering familiar choices. Meal service aligns with individual care plans to ensure nutritional requirements are met for both Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
Residents can spend free time in the activity center, take part in clubs and community groups, join structured health and wellness programs, or participate in arts and crafts sessions. The staff schedules regular social outings, and outdoor spaces are available for fresh air and organized events.
