Arbor Terrace Basking Ridge offers three levels of residential care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care. Residents who wander during the day or night, present elopement risks, or stay awake overnight are supervised by staff trained in these behaviors. The clinical team also manages special diets and provides comprehensive diabetic support, covering oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding-scale regimens. Memory Care programming accommodates advanced dementia conditions so that residents can remain on campus as needs progress.
Clinical oversight is anchored by an RN or LPN on staff with a nurse on call around the clock. All team members undergo background checks, and an awake night shift, pull-cord and PERS alert systems, and 24-hour security help ensure prompt response. Full assistance is available with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and transfer support ranges from standby help with walkers to one-person assists for wheelchair users. On-site podiatry, audiology, and dental clinics reduce the need for outside appointments, while a full-time activity director keeps daily schedules structured and purposeful.
Apartments include a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls, cable service, and housekeeping, although not every unit carries every feature. Residents may personalize their space with paint or décor. Independent Living tenants can also receive medication-management monitoring, housekeeping, and laundry, allowing them to keep living autonomously while having routine tasks covered.
Meals are prepared to order, and staff can modify textures, portion sizes, and ingredients to match physician-directed diets. Snacks are available throughout the day, and a monthly meal plan is built into Independent Living to simplify budgeting and grocery needs.
Community amenities include resident parking, outside smoking areas, pet-friendly policies, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, a wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge and scheduled transportation, and proximity to public transit. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
