Ledgewood Bay offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care. The community is equipped to serve residents who wander during the day or night, those at risk for elopement, individuals requiring special diets, adults under 60, and diabetics who manage their condition with either oral medication or injections. The Memory Care program can accommodate the complete spectrum of dementia, including advanced stages.
A licensed nurse is on-site around the clock, backed by additional RN/LPN coverage, awake night staff, and an activity director. Staff respond to pull cords and personal emergency response systems, and the building maintains 24-hour security with fenced outdoor areas. Residents have on-site access to podiatry and dental services. Assistance is available for bathing, dressing, and eating when some physical help is needed, while toileting support can be provided at a full-assistance level. Transfer help ranges from standby supervision to one- or two-person transfers, and staff can work with walkers and wheelchairs.
Apartments may feature a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls, and the option to repaint or decorate, although not every unit includes every feature. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are provided. Independent Living residents can also receive medication-management monitoring, housekeeping, laundry, and a monthly meal plan without moving to higher levels of care.
Meals follow a set menu, but the kitchen can handle diet modifications such as gluten-free choices and other physician-ordered restrictions. Snacks are available throughout the day, and families can reserve a private dining room for gatherings.
Resident parking, outside smoking areas, and wheelchair-accessible common spaces are available. Amenities include a barber/beauty shop, movie room, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge services, a library, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
