Langdon Place of Keene offers Assisted Living and Memory Care that are structured to serve residents who require anything from minimal oversight to full-time clinical attention. The community is prepared for residents who wander during the day or night, are at risk for elopement, present combative or other behavioral challenges, stay up all night, or live with advanced dementia. Medical support spans wound care, oxygen management, special diet preparation, and comprehensive diabetes services, including oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale protocols. The team also admits adults under 60 when appropriate and tailors care plans to match individual medical profiles.
Round-the-clock coverage is anchored by RNs and LPNs on staff, a 24-hour nurse on call, and an awake night shift. Employees undergo background checks, and safety features include secured doors with alarms, a fenced rear area, pull-cord and PERS alert systems, and staff on site 24 hours a day. On-site medical clinics bring in podiatry, audiology, dental, and rehabilitation services using a dedicated therapy room. Direct care extends to full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, some help with meals, and a range of transfer options from standby to Hoyer lift.
Accommodation choices vary; some suites include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable, and space residents may paint or decorate, while other layouts offer only a portion of these features. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are part of the base package, and maintenance handles routine upkeep so rooms stay functional and clean.
Meals are available from a set menu or cooked to order, with snacks offered throughout the day. Residents may dine in the restaurant-style room, use a private dining space for family events, or request in-room delivery. Therapeutic diets and other nutrition modifications are managed on site. Independent Living residents can opt for medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, laundry services, and a monthly meal plan.
Residents have access to on-site parking, outside smoking areas, pet-friendly policies, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, religious services, library, pool, special-interest clubs, scheduled transportation, and proximity to public transit. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
