Ovation Heartwood Preserve supports Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care residents on one campus. For those in Memory Care, the team is prepared for wandering behaviors in the morning or evening, elopement risk, and residents who stay up throughout the night. Clinical oversight extends to oxygen management, special diets, thickened liquids, and diabetic care—whether residents use oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. Staff members are also trained to work with advanced dementia conditions, ensuring consistent monitoring and redirection when needed.
An RN or LPN is on site, backed by a nurse on call 24 hours a day. All employees complete background checks, and night-shift staff stay awake to conduct rounds. Resident safety is reinforced by fenced outdoor areas, door alarms, and in-room pull cords that alert staff. On-site podiatry, dental services, and a therapy room reduce the need for outside trips. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as some help with eating. Transfers are accommodated for walkers, wheelchairs, standby supervision, and one-person assists, allowing residents to remain mobile while minimizing fall risk.
Apartments are available with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual temperature controls, and cable service; some floor plans also feature in-unit laundry, housekeeping, and the option to paint or decorate the space. Residents who choose Independent Living receive weekly housekeeping, while Assisted Living and Memory Care residents have scheduled laundry and room-cleaning services included. Not all units contain every feature, so families should confirm specifics when touring.
Meals follow a set menu with dietitian oversight for sugar-restricted, vegetarian, or thickened-liquid plans. Snacks are on hand throughout the day, and residents may request in-room dining for recovery periods or personal preference. A private dining room is available for family gatherings and celebrations, enabling residents to share special occasions without leaving the community.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and wellness centers, a movie room, library, communal gardens, pool, and on-site religious services. Internet access and concierge support help residents stay connected and arrange appointments, while scheduled transportation and a town car service handle shopping, medical visits, and local outings. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
