Village North Rehabilitation and Nursing Center operates as a continuing care retirement community, so residents can move among levels of care without leaving the campus. The center provides short-term rehabilitation after illness or surgery, long-term skilled nursing, and access to restorative therapies such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Licensed nurses are on duty around the clock, and the medical director coordinates with attending physicians to oversee post-acute recovery plans, chronic disease management, wound care, IV therapy, and medication administration. Should a resident’s needs change, the team can quickly adjust the care plan, arrange additional therapies, or facilitate a transition to a higher level of support without disruption.
Beyond the primary medical services, Village North offers ongoing health monitoring, lab and pharmacy coordination, and regular assessments to track mobility, cognitive status, and overall wellness. A fall-prevention program, on-site radiology visits, and scheduled transportation to outside specialists extend the scope of care. Residents have access to social services, discharge planning, and family education sessions designed to ease decision-making and maintain continuity of care. Certified nursing assistants assist with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, while rehabilitation staff provide strength-building exercises and balance training to help residents regain independence.
Accommodations range from private suites to companion rooms, each with individual climate control, basic cable, and emergency call systems; select units add kitchenettes or step-in showers, but not all accommodations include every feature. Housekeeping, laundry service, and maintenance are provided, and families can personalize living spaces with furniture or décor if they choose. The community permits small pets in designated rooms, subject to size and vaccination requirements. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Residents receive three daily meals prepared under the guidance of a registered dietitian, with menus that accommodate diabetic, low-sodium, and mechanically altered diets. Meals are served in a shared dining room to encourage social interaction, though tray service is available for those recuperating in their rooms. Snacks and beverages are offered throughout the day, and seasonal dishes use fresh ingredients when possible. Food service staff work closely with nursing and therapy teams to adjust textures or portion sizes as medical conditions and dietary recommendations evolve.
