Gatesworth The offers an Independent Living setting that is strengthened by access to targeted health supports. Residents with special dietary requirements, adults under the age of 60 and individuals managing diabetes with oral medications can remain in Independent Living while still receiving oversight from nursing staff. The community is also prepared to accommodate mild dementia conditions, allowing residents to stay in familiar surroundings longer. Regular on-site visits from podiatrists, audiologists and dentists, along with a therapy room for rehabilitation needs, help reduce outside appointments and keep care coordinated on campus.
Around-the-clock clinical oversight is anchored by an RN or LPN on staff during the day and a nurse on call 24 hours, backed up by awake night-shift caregivers and a campus-wide security team. A proactive Activity Director, routine background checks and multiple alert systems—pull cords in each residence and optional personal emergency response pendants—help staff respond quickly to changes in condition or requests for aid. Residents who need partial assistance can receive help with bathing, dressing or toileting, and staff can provide standby supervision at mealtimes. Transfers are supported whether the resident uses a walker, wheelchair or only needs a guiding hand.
Apartments are offered in several floor plans, and not every unit includes every feature, but options can include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, in-unit laundry, independent temperature controls, cable service and basic furnishings. Weekly housekeeping and scheduled linen service are standard, while residents who have machines in their units can do their own laundry. Independent Living residents can also opt into medication-management monitoring, additional housekeeping visits, personal laundry service and a monthly meal plan for greater convenience.
Dining is flexible. Residents may choose set menus in the main dining room, order items on demand, request in-room tray service or reserve the private dining room for special occasions. Between meals, snacks are always available. The culinary team accommodates vegetarian selections, gluten-free choices, mechanical-chopped textures and other physician-ordered diet modifications to align with the community’s medical support for special diets.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, outdoor smoking areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and wellness centers, a movie room, library, communal gardens, pool, concierge services, an on-site bank and gift shop, and guest apartments for visiting family or friends. Residents can join special-interest clubs, attend on-site religious services or relax with internet access throughout the property. Scheduled transportation includes a shuttle for medical appointments and a town car service for personal errands. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
