Raintree Village in Lee’s Summit provides two levels of residential support. Assisted Living is available for residents who need routine help with daily tasks while still wanting to maintain as much independence as possible. The community also offers an Independent Living option designed for older adults who are largely self-reliant but appreciate having staff close at hand and a setting prepared to accommodate mild dementia conditions. Both tracks share the advantage of having care plans that can be adjusted as needs change.
Around-the-clock licensed nursing oversight anchors the health program. A registered nurse or licensed practical nurse is on staff, supported by caregivers who have cleared background checks. On-site podiatry visits reduce the need to travel out for routine foot care. Personal assistance can be scheduled for bathing, dressing, eating and toileting when only some physical help or supervision is required. Residents who use a walker or wheelchair, or who simply need standby support, can receive transfer aid. Safety measures include 24-hour staffed security, door alarms, wander-guard systems, in-room pull cords and optional personal emergency response systems that alert staff immediately. An activity director coordinates cognitive and social programs that align with each resident’s ability level.
Private and semi-private suites are offered, and some units feature a full kitchen, in-unit laundry and independent temperature controls, while others provide scheduled laundry service and housekeeping only; not every accommodation includes every feature. Bathrooms are private in select layouts, and basic cable is available. Independent Living residents can request housekeeping on a weekly schedule, freeing them to focus on activities and social connection rather than chores.
Daily meals follow a set menu, and snacks are available throughout the day. Residents may choose to dine in the main restaurant-style room, reserve a private dining space for family gatherings or have trays delivered to their suite for in-room dining. Special diets are accommodated within the standard menu rotation, and hydration stations are monitored by staff to encourage consistent fluid intake.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, library, internet access, communal gardens and a variety of special-interest clubs. Utilities other than phone are included, and optional linen service, washer and dryer access and storage units are available. Concierge services handle appointment scheduling, while on-site religious services support spiritual needs. Transportation is provided through a community shuttle for medical appointments and a town-car service for local errands. Pets are allowed; it's a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
