Clarendale Clayton delivers three levels of residency—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—so residents can transition between services without leaving the campus. The community accepts individuals who wander during the day or night, exhibit exit-seeking or behavioral concerns, remain awake overnight, or need complex medical oversight such as wound care, oxygen administration, and diabetes management by oral medication, insulin injections, or sliding-scale protocols. People living with advanced dementia are supported through personalized programming and safety measures, and the residence is willing to admit adults under the age of 60 when clinically appropriate.
Nursing coverage includes an RN or LPN on duty around the clock, with an awake night shift and a full-time activity director. All staff members undergo background checks, and the building is equipped with 24-hour security, door alarms, pull cords, personal emergency response systems that alert staff or dial 911, and wander-guard technology. On-site medical services encompass podiatry, audiology, dental visits, and a therapy room, and the team is comfortable coordinating care for residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting can be provided at the full-assist level, and mobility support ranges from standby help to one- or two-person transfers for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs.
Apartments vary in size and configuration; some include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent thermostats, cable, in-unit laundry, and permission to paint or decorate, while others offer scheduled housekeeping and community laundry services instead of in-unit machines. Housekeeping and personal linen service are standard for Assisted Living and Memory Care. Independent Living residents have optional housekeeping and laundry packages, giving them control over how much assistance they want.
Meals are served three times daily from a set menu, with an on-order option for substitutions. Snacks are available throughout the day, and room service or private dining can be arranged when needed. The culinary team honors physician-ordered diets, texture modifications, and vegetarian preferences. Independent Living residents purchase a monthly meal plan that covers a set number of dining credits and may add medication-management monitoring if they would like nurses to oversee routine prescriptions.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a beauty and barber shop, exercise and wellness rooms, a movie theater, library, pool, communal gardens, special-interest clubs, and on-site religious services. High-speed internet is available throughout the building, and a concierge coordinates transportation options that include scheduled shuttles for medical appointments as well as proximity to public transit. Outdoor smoking areas are designated, and pets are welcome. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
