Care plans are individualized and can be adjusted as residents’ conditions change, so someone who begins in Independent Living can transition smoothly to Assisted Living services without leaving the property.
Nursing coverage includes a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse on staff and a nurse on call around the clock. All employees undergo background checks, and there is 24-hour security with staff always on site. Residents have in-unit pull cords and personal emergency response systems that connect directly to caregivers. Chesterfield Villas accepts psychiatric cases, offers a therapy room for ongoing rehabilitation, and can assist with bathing and dressing when only some physical help is required; toileting and eating are supported for residents who can manage those activities on their own. Transfers involving walkers are accommodated, and an activity director coordinates daily programming that aligns with each resident’s care plan.
Apartments can include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls and cable service, but not every unit has every feature, so families should confirm availability when touring. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry are standard in Assisted Living, and the same services can be arranged for Independent Living residents who prefer not to manage these chores themselves. Independent Living occupants can also sign up for medication management monitoring to ensure prescriptions are taken correctly.
Meals are prepared by a professional chef and offered throughout the day, with options that cover international dishes, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, low- or no-sodium and no-sugar diets. Guest meals are available for visiting family members. Assisted Living residents receive three meals daily, while those in Independent Living can purchase a monthly meal plan that fits their routines and budget.
