The Goldton at Southaven offers two primary levels of care: Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive support with routine activities such as bathing, dressing, and medication reminders, while still maintaining as much independence as possible. The Memory Care program is structured for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and incorporates cueing, redirection, and a secure setting. Short-term or respite stays are also available, allowing families to arrange temporary care when needed.
Additional medical and therapeutic resources round out the care model. The community is a secured environment, and licensed nurses are on-site to monitor chronic conditions, manage medications, and coordinate physician visits. A doctor visits the property, and specialty clinicians—podiatrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists—provide scheduled services. Staff members are trained in diabetes management, incontinence care, ambulatory assistance, and hospice coordination, ensuring continuity of care as health needs change.
Apartments vary in layout and feature sets, but residents can expect barrier-free access throughout the building. Some units include wheelchair-accessible showers, and select homes have views of landscaped outdoor areas. Surface parking is available for residents who still drive, while planned transportation can be arranged for those who do not. Because floor plans and fixtures differ, prospective residents should verify which features are present in the specific accommodation they are considering.
Dining is provided three times daily, and menus are designed to meet general nutrition guidelines as well as physician-ordered dietary modifications. Staff members monitor intake for residents who require it, and alternate choices are available to accommodate preferences or restrictions. Snacks and hydration stations are accessible at set times and upon request.
Residents have access to an activity center for structured programs and casual gatherings, and they are encouraged to spend supervised time outdoors in the designated areas of the secured campus.
