The Waters of Highland Park offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care. Residents with complex or chronic conditions have access to wound care, specialized diets, oral and injectable diabetes management, and services designed for advanced dementia. The community routinely collaborates with outside physicians and hospice agencies to keep medical interventions consistent as needs change.
Around‐the‐clock oversight is supported by RNs and LPNs on site and an on-call nurse 24 hours a day. Staff members pass background checks, remain awake overnight, and respond to pull-cord alerts. A full slate of on-site clinicians—including physical, occupational, and massage therapists, a podiatrist, and an optometrist—handle routine and acute concerns. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, along with incontinence management. Transfer help ranges from standby support to Hoyer-lift and bed-bound moves, making the building appropriate for residents who rely on walkers, wheelchairs, or two-person assists.
Apartments include basic housekeeping, though not every unit contains every feature that might be available elsewhere in the building. Layouts are designed to fit both independent residents and those who need memory care cues, so families can select the space that matches current and anticipated needs.
Dining is ordered at the point of service, and snacks are available between meals. Residents may eat in the main dining room, choose in-room service, or reserve a private room for family gatherings. Therapeutic diet modifications and careful portion control are standard for those who need them.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, library, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge support, and several special-interest clubs. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
