Timberdale Trace delivers two primary levels of care—Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents who choose Assisted Living receive help with day-to-day activities such as bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and mobility, while still retaining as much independence as possible. Those in the Memory Care program benefit from a secure environment and structured routines tailored for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Short-term respite stays are available for caregivers who need a break or for individuals recovering from illness or surgery. Diabetes management and access to on-site physical therapy are integrated into both care settings, so residents can receive consistent treatment without leaving the community.
To support these care levels, Timberdale Trace has licensed nurses on site, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and a podiatrist who make regular rounds. Wound care, incontinence care, ambulatory assistance, medication management, and hospice services can be provided as residents’ needs change. Each apartment is equipped with an emergency response system that links directly to 24-hour staff, and the building features a sprinkler and security system for added protection. An enclosed courtyard offers a safe outdoor option for Memory Care residents, while brain fitness programs, pet-focused therapy, and other specialized services round out the clinical offerings.
Accommodations range from studio and efficiency apartments to ground-floor units, each with central air conditioning and wheelchair-accessible showers. Some residences include washers and dryers, cable or satellite TV connections, computer-ready Wi-Fi, and resident parking, although not every unit has every feature. Common indoor areas include a fireside living room, a porch, and multiple gathering spaces, while outdoor walking paths, gardens, and courtyard seating give residents easy access to fresh air. Regular housekeeping and laundry services are part of the standard package.
Meals are prepared on site and can be tailored to low-sodium, gluten-free, Kosher, vegetarian, or other dietary requirements. All-day dining and room service give residents flexibility in scheduling, and guest meals are available for visiting family members. Special dining programs accommodate changing health needs, and snacks are offered throughout the day to help manage blood-sugar levels for residents with diabetes.
Beyond clinical care and daily living support, Timberdale Trace offers a range of amenities designed to keep residents engaged. On-site activities include art classes, yoga sessions, fitness and wellness programs, and organized clubs. A library and computer lounge, piano, activity center, and raised garden beds provide additional options, while regular day trips, social outings, live performances, and community service programs encourage residents to stay connected to the broader Owatonna area.
