Westridge of Minnetonka offers two primary levels of service. Residents who are still largely independent can choose an Independent Living option that presumes they manage most daily activities on their own while still having access to staff 24 hours a day in case an unscheduled health situation arises. The community is also prepared to support people living with dementia. For these residents, staff members are trained to respond to memory-related behaviors, structure the day with familiar routines, and monitor changes in cognitive status so that medical professionals can be notified promptly when additional interventions might be needed.
Beyond the basic service categories, the staff can help with specific activities of daily living. Assistance is available for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting when a resident is no longer able to complete those tasks safely alone. Medication reminders and administration are coordinated through licensed nurses, and the building is equipped with emergency call systems that connect residents to on-site personnel at any hour. Routine vital-sign checks, appointment scheduling, and coordination with outside therapy providers round out the medical support that can be integrated into each care plan.
Apartments are offered in several floor plans, ranging from studio layouts to larger one-bedroom units. Every apartment has a private bathroom and a kitchenette, while select units add step-in showers, balconies, or in-unit laundry hookups. Heating and air-conditioning are individually controlled, and basic utilities are included in the monthly fee. Not all accommodations have every listed feature, so it is important to verify the specifics of a preferred unit during a tour.
Dining is served three times a day in a central dining room where residents order from a rotating menu designed by a registered dietitian. Modified textures, low-sodium choices, and diabetic-friendly selections are always available, and snacks are stocked in common areas between meals. The culinary team consults directly with nursing staff to incorporate physician-ordered diet restrictions, and meals can be delivered to apartments on days when a resident is recovering from illness.
