Arbor Oaks Senior Living provides assisted-living care to residents who need regular medical supervision. The community can accommodate people who wander during the day or night, experience elopement risk or other behavioral issues, remain awake overnight, or require oxygen therapy, wound care, or specialized diets. Staff members are trained to support residents living with advanced dementia as well as adults under 60 who need the structure of an assisted-living setting. Diabetes management is available for people on oral medications, insulin injections, or sliding-scale protocols. Podiatry services are delivered on site, reducing the need for off-campus appointments.
Around-the-clock nursing coverage includes an RN or LPN in the building at all times, with an additional nurse on call. An awake night staff monitors door alarms and Wander Guard systems, and each apartment has pull cords and optional personal emergency response systems that alert caregivers. The team can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting, while offering some physical help during meals if needed. Transfer help ranges from standby or one-person assists to support for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs. An activity director coordinates daily programming, and 24-hour security personnel reinforce the safety measures already in place.
Apartments offer a private bathroom, a kitchenette, independent temperature controls, and cable access; some apartments can be painted or otherwise personalized. Because layouts vary, not every unit has every feature, so prospective residents should ask for details during a tour.
Meals are served three times daily, with a set menu and the option to order alternate selections. Snacks are available between meals, and the kitchen can modify textures, portions, or ingredients to meet physician-ordered diet plans, including diabetic and other therapeutic diets.
Residents have access to parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, and outdoor smoking areas. Pets are allowed, and it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Other amenities include a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a wellness center, internet access, on-site religious services, and scheduled transportation for errands and medical appointments.
