Oak Park Place – Albert Lea offers two primary levels of support: Assisted Living for residents who need day-to-day help with personal tasks, and Memory Care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Both programs incorporate diabetes management, so residents who require blood-glucose monitoring and medication assistance can receive that help without leaving the community.
The building operates as a secured community, an important feature for memory-care safety. On-site clinical resources include licensed nurses, incontinence and ambulatory care, medication management, and hospice services when needed. Apartments and common areas are laid out to accommodate memory loss, and the property is licensed as a memory-care-only community in the sections dedicated to dementia services. Independent-living support is also available on campus for residents who transition between levels of care.
Accommodation options range from studios to larger apartments, some offering outdoor access, garden views, or in-unit washers and dryers. Common spaces include a library and computer lounge, landscaped outdoor areas, and parking for residents who still drive. Wheelchair-accessible showers are available in select apartments. Because floor plans vary, not every unit includes every feature listed.
Three daily meals are prepared and served on site, with menus designed to meet varied nutritional needs and physician-ordered diets. Team members monitor residents who require help with portion control, carbohydrate counting, or reminders to eat.
Residents have access to an activity center that hosts yoga classes, wellness programs, arts and crafts sessions, and social outings. Outdoor space is available for organized events or individual relaxation, making it easier for residents to stay active and engaged.
