Park House Southfield provides two levels of residency—Assisted Living for those who need daily support and Independent Living for those who remain largely self-reliant. Residents can come for permanent stays or for short-term respite care, and the staff is trained to monitor and manage diabetes as well as mild dementia conditions. Clinical oversight is available around the clock, allowing the community to step in quickly if a resident’s health status changes.
An RN or LPN is on site, backed by a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Personal emergency response systems connect directly to staff, and security personnel are present at all times. On-site medical offerings include incontinence and ambulatory care, memory and hospice services, medication management, and regular visits from occupational and physical therapists as well as a podiatrist. Full assistance is available with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and staff are trained in walker and wheelchair support as well as one-person transfers.
Residents choose from apartments that may feature a private bathroom, a kitchenette, independent temperature controls, cable service, and regular housekeeping, although individual units do not necessarily include every feature. Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping as part of their service plan, allowing them to focus on personal interests rather than chores.
Three daily meals are prepared on site, and staff can assist at the table when needed. Specialized diets can be accommodated, and Independent Living residents may select a monthly meal plan that fits their lifestyle. Medication-management monitoring is also available for Independent Living participants who would like an extra layer of safety.
Additional amenities include resident parking, an on-site barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a movie room, internet access, communal gardens, regularly scheduled religious services, a library, and scheduled transportation for errands and medical appointments.
