The Retreat at Meadowbrook offers three levels of long-term care—Assisted Living, Residential Care Home living, and Memory Care. Residents with advanced dementia are accepted, and the team is prepared for common challenges such as wandering during the day or night, frequent wakefulness, and behavioral changes. Clinical staff manage oxygen therapy, a range of special diets, and diabetes care that includes oral medications, insulin injections, and sliding-scale protocols. Younger adults who need support, including those under 60, can also be accommodated in any of the three care programs.
Care delivery is supported by an RN or LPN onsite, a nurse on call around the clock, background-checked staff, and awake overnight caregivers. The building is secured 24 hours a day, with door alarms to prevent unsafe exits. A podiatrist visits regularly, and pharmacy services coordinate prescriptions and refills. Residents who need total assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, or toileting receive that help, and staff are trained for walker and wheelchair support, standby or one-person transfers, and bed-bound care. An activity director oversees daily programming to keep residents engaged while clinical monitoring continues in the background.
Private and semi-private rooms are available, some already furnished and others ready for personal furniture. Cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are provided in many, but not all, units. Families should confirm which features are included when choosing a room. The layout is designed so residents using mobility devices can reach common areas without barriers.
Meals follow a set menu with the option to order alternatives. Snacks are offered throughout the day, and in-room dining can be arranged when needed. The kitchen can prepare gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, puréed, or thickened-liquid meals as ordered by a physician or dietitian. Staff monitor intake for residents who require full assistance with eating.
The property is wheelchair accessible and offers internet access so residents can stay connected. A communal garden provides outdoor space for relaxation or supervised walks.
