Chestnut Fields provides both Assisted Living and Memory Care, accepting residents who need help with daily routines as well as those living with any stage of dementia, including advanced conditions. Clinical coverage includes support for wander risk day or night, elopement precautions, “up-all-night” behavior management, wound care, oxygen use, and tailored meal plans for special diets. The team is equipped to supervise residents under 60, manage diabetes by oral medication, injections, or sliding scale, and respond to a wide range of medical changes without requiring a transfer out of the community.
Clinical staffing and safety systems are in place 24/7. An RN or LPN is on site with a nurse on call around the clock, and caregivers stay awake through the night. Background-checked personnel, an Activity Director, and continuous security monitoring are standard. The building is fenced at the rear, exterior doors are alarmed, and every apartment has pull cords and a personal emergency response system that alerts staff. On-site services cover non-ambulatory, ambulatory, diabetic, and incontinence care. Residents can receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and the staff performs transfers ranging from walker support to two-person or Hoyer lift moves, including bed-bound care.
Apartments feature private bathrooms, individual climate controls, and cable readiness; some units add kitchenettes and the option to paint or decorate. Because layouts vary, not every room includes every feature, so prospective residents are encouraged to confirm specifics during a tour.
Meals follow a set menu prepared on site, with snacks available between sittings. The culinary team works with clinical staff to modify textures, manage carbohydrate counts, restrict sodium, or handle other doctor-ordered diet plans so that residents receive the nutrition prescribed for their condition.
For Independent Living residents, Chestnut Fields offers medication-management monitoring. Staff track refills, provide reminders, document adherence, and coordinate with physicians or pharmacies, allowing seniors to maintain a lighter level of independence while staying medically supported.
Amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, a movie room, internet access community-wide, on-site religious services, and proximity to public transportation. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
