Colonial Villa offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living options, giving residents and their families flexibility as care needs change. The community is prepared to support moderate dementia conditions and accepts residents under 60 years old when appropriate. Medical oversight covers “up-all-night” monitoring, oxygen management, special diets, and diabetic care for individuals on oral medications. Residents who choose Independent Living can still elect medication-management monitoring if needed.
Clinical staffing includes an RN or LPN on site, an on-call nurse 24 hours a day, awake night-shift caregivers, and a full activity director. Background-checked team members respond to pull-cord or PERS alerts, and the campus maintains 24-hour security. A visiting podiatrist handles routine foot care. Direct assistance is available for full bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting support. Transfer capabilities range from standby help with walkers to two-person or Hoyer-lift transfers for bed-bound residents.
Apartments may feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the option to paint or decorate, though not every unit includes every listed feature. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided. Independent Living residents can receive the same housekeeping and laundry, along with medication-management monitoring and an optional monthly meal plan.
Dining services are built around a made-to-order approach, with snacks always available and in-room dining offered when a resident feels unwell or prefers privacy. The dietary staff manages physician-ordered restrictions such as low-sodium, diabetic, or texture-modified menus, coordinating closely with nursing to accommodate special diets.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for medical appointments. Public transportation is nearby, and a community shuttle runs medical-only trips. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
