Marycrest Manor offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living, allowing residents to choose the level of day-to-day support they need. The clinical team can manage oxygen therapy, special diets, diabetes that requires either oral medications or insulin injections, and residents younger than 60 who still need supportive care. Moderate dementia is accommodated, and the staff can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Residents who use walkers, wheelchairs, need stand-by help, one-person or two-person transfers, or a full Hoyer lift—up to and including bed-bound care—can remain safely in place without having to move to another community.
Clinical oversight is maintained by RNs and LPNs on site, backed up by a nurse on call 24 hours a day. A primary physician visits regularly, and the community welcomes podiatry services and residents with psychiatric or behavioral health needs. All employees undergo background checks, and security personnel are present around the clock with Personal Emergency Response Systems tying residents directly to staff. An Activity Director coordinates daily programming suitable for varying cognitive and physical abilities, helping residents stay engaged while staff and security maintain a controlled, monitored environment.
Apartments at Marycrest Manor range from studios to larger layouts, and not every unit includes every amenity, but options may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, furnished spaces, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the ability to paint or decorate. Laundry setups vary as well; some units have in-suite laundry, while others rely on scheduled laundry services. Weekly housekeeping is provided, and maintenance takes care of routine repairs, allowing residents to concentrate on daily life rather than chores.
Dining is handled through both set menus and made-to-order selections, with snacks available throughout the day. Residents can take meals in the main dining room, request in-room service, or reserve a private dining room for family visits. Therapeutic and preference-based diets—gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chop, puréed, thickened liquids, and other physician-ordered modifications—are prepared by trained dietary staff. Independent Living residents can add medication-management monitoring to their service plan and elect a monthly meal package if they prefer not to cook every day.
Residents and their guests have access to on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a full-service restaurant and bistro, and an elegant community room for events. There is a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a wellness center offering rehabilitation and wound-care services, and a heated pool. Spiritual needs are addressed through on-site religious services, including Catholic Mass and a chapel open to all denominations. A library, woodshop, community gardens, walking paths, and special-interest clubs provide daily engagement, while life-enrichment activities are planned by dedicated staff. Visiting or on-site specialists—dentist, psychologist, psychiatrist, podiatrist, and optometrist—supplement 24-hour licensed nursing care. Transportation is available for medical appointments via a community shuttle. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
