Mercy Village offers three levels of residential care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—with programming robust enough to accommodate residents who present with advanced dementia conditions. The clinical team is equipped to manage wandering behaviors at any time of day, elopement risk, combativeness, and other behavioral challenges. Medical support extends to wound care, oxygen use, and specialized diets, and the community accepts residents under 60 years old. Diabetic management—whether oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin—is available and monitored on site.
Around-the-clock support is reinforced by RNs and LPNs on staff and a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Caregivers are awake and on duty throughout the night, and every employee undergoes background checks. Safety measures include secured front and rear fencing, alarmed doors, pull-cord and PERS alert systems, and 24-hour staffing. An activity director coordinates daily programming, while visiting podiatry and a dedicated therapy room provide on-site clinical follow-up; residents with psychiatric diagnoses are accepted. Direct assistance is offered for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and transfer help ranges from standby to one-person lifts for walkers and wheelchairs.
Residences vary in layout; some feature private bathrooms, kitchenettes, furnishings, and independent temperature controls, while others may omit one or more of these options. Cable service, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry are available for all units, and residents are encouraged to repaint or decorate their spaces within community guidelines.
Dining services include a daily set menu, made-to-order options, and snacks that can be delivered to the room. Meals can be taken in the main dining venue, a private dining room, or through in-room service. Therapeutic diets—gluten-free, mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened liquids, vegetarian, and other physician-ordered modifications—are prepared by staff trained in nutrition management. Independent Living residents may add medication-management monitoring, housekeeping, laundry, and a monthly meal plan to their service package.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge desk, library, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation with shuttle service to medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Public transportation stops are nearby for residents who prefer independent travel.
