Provision Living at East Lansing delivers three distinct levels of care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—with the flexibility to move between levels as needs evolve. The clinical team is prepared to manage wandering behaviors around the clock, address elopement risks, and support residents who may be combative or awake throughout the night. Advanced wound care, oxygen management, special diet oversight, and diabetic support for oral medications, injections, and sliding-scale protocols are available. Residents under 60 who require these services can also be accommodated, including those living with advanced dementia conditions.
Direct clinical oversight is strengthened by an on-site RN/LPN, a 24-hour nurse on call, and an awake night shift. Safety measures include background-checked staff, 24-hour security, fenced outdoor areas, alarmed doors, wander-guard systems, pull cords, and personal emergency response systems. On-site podiatry, audiology, and a dedicated therapy room reduce the need for outside appointments. The team can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and can handle every transfer scenario—from standby and one-person assists to two-person transfers, Hoyer lifts, and bed-bound care.
Apartments vary in size and layout, and not every unit contains every feature, but options may include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the ability to paint or decorate the space. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are provided. For dining, residents can choose meals on order, enjoy snacks throughout the day, and reserve a private dining room for family visits. The kitchen routinely prepares modified diets—including gluten-free, mechanical chopped, puréed, thickened liquids, and vegetarian meals—so residents with special dietary requirements can eat safely.
Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping and laundry service plus a monthly meal plan, giving them flexibility while still enjoying the convenience of prepared meals and a clean apartment. These services can be increased if health needs change, allowing residents to remain in their current apartment as long as possible.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber/beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge assistance, a library, special-interest clubs, and shuttle service limited to medical appointments. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
