Waltonwood at Carriage Park provides both Assisted Living and Independent Living, allowing residents to move between levels of care without changing communities. The nursing team can manage oxygen use, specialized diet requirements, diabetes controlled by oral medication or insulin injections, and the needs of residents younger than 60. Staff are also trained to support mild dementia, offering appropriate supervision while encouraging as much independence as possible.
Around-the-clock coverage includes an RN or LPN on site and a nurse on call 24 hours a day. All employees pass background checks, and an awake night shift monitors door-alarmed corridors, pull cords, and personal emergency response systems that alert staff within seconds. Podiatry, dental, and pharmacy services come to the building, limiting outside appointments. When full assistance is required, caregivers help with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they perform transfers ranging from standby with a walker to two-person lifts from a wheelchair. An activity director coordinates therapeutic programming each day.
Apartments are available in several layouts; some include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual climate controls, and the option to paint or decorate. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry service are provided, but not every unit has every feature listed. Independent Living residents benefit from free laundry rooms, a monthly meal plan, and optional linen service, allowing them to choose the amount of help they want.
Meals are served three times daily with a set menu and an on-order alternative at each sitting. Snacks are available at any time, and meals can be delivered to the apartment or enjoyed in a private dining room for family gatherings. The kitchen accommodates physician-ordered diets, gluten-free preferences, and vegetarian selections. Independent Living residents may opt into the meal plan as needed, and hydration stations located in both Assisted and Independent Living encourage regular fluid intake.
Resident parking, scheduled transportation, wheelchair-accessible common areas, and outdoor smoking areas are on site. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Amenities include a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, communal gardens, on-site religious services, concierge desk, library, guest room for overnight visitors, and a variety of special-interest clubs.
