Bay City Comfort Care offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, including support for residents with advanced dementia conditions. The team is equipped to manage behaviors such as daytime or nighttime wandering and elopement risk, and they can monitor residents who are up all night. Clinical care extends to wound treatment, oxygen management, and tailored nutrition for special diets. Younger adults under 60 are accepted, and comprehensive diabetic oversight is available for those on oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin.
Around-the-clock coverage includes RNs or LPNs, an awake night shift, and a full activity director. Safety measures feature a fenced rear area, door alarms, pull-cord alerts, and personal emergency response systems, with staff on site 24 hours a day. On-site podiatry visits reduce the need for outside appointments. Residents who need help with daily tasks can receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Mobility needs are met with standby, one-person, two-person, or Hoyer transfers, and staff can accommodate walkers, wheelchairs, or bed-bound situations. Background checks are completed for all employees.
Apartments are available in several layouts, some of which include a private bathroom, a kitchenette, basic furnishings, independent temperature controls, and cable service. Not every unit has every feature, so touring families can decide which configuration best matches their needs.
Meals are served three times daily with a set menu, but on-order choices are also offered for residents who prefer something different. Between meals, snacks are always available. The culinary team can modify textures, restrict sugar or sodium, and manage other physician-ordered diets to align with each care plan.
Residents benefit from on-site parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, a movie room, reliable internet access, communal gardens, scheduled religious services, and community transportation for appointments or errands. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
