Arbor Care on Independence provides Assisted Living, Residential Care Home, and Memory Care programs designed to serve residents with a wide range of medical needs. Support is in place for individuals who wander during the day or night, require oxygen therapy, are under 60, or manage diabetes with oral medications, injections, or sliding-scale insulin. Staff are also trained to work with residents living with advanced dementia, so the community can accommodate changing cognitive or behavioral conditions without requiring a move.
The building is staffed around the clock, with an awake night shift, 24-hour security, door alarms, and a nurse on call at all times. All employees undergo background checks. On-site medical resources include visiting podiatrists, physical and occupational therapists, prescription management, and portable X-ray services, reducing the need for outside appointments. Caregivers offer full assistance with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and are equipped to handle transfers ranging from walker supervision and one- or two-person assists to full Hoyer lift support for bed-bound residents.
Apartments are available furnished and may include cable service. Housekeeping and regularly scheduled laundry pick-up are provided. Not all residences come with every feature, so families should confirm specific unit details during a tour.
Meals are offered from a set menu as well as made-to-order selections, and snacks are available throughout the day. In-room dining can be arranged when necessary, and the kitchen can accommodate mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, vegetarian, and other physician-directed diet modifications or management plans.
Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, internet access, and landscaped communal gardens that give residents an easy outdoor option. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
