Armbrook Village offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living, with an emphasis on comprehensive medical oversight. The team is equipped to manage residents who wander, exhibit combative or other behavioral issues, stay awake through the night, or live with advanced dementia. Clinical staff coordinate care for wound treatment, oxygen therapy, and specialized diets. Diabetic management covers residents who take oral medications, injections, or require a sliding-scale approach, and the community will also admit adults under the age of 60 when appropriate.
Resident safety and monitoring are reinforced by an RN or LPN on site, a nurse on call 24 hours a day, background-checked staff, and awake night-shift coverage. Door alarms, a fenced rear area, pull-cord alerts, and personal emergency response systems help staff respond quickly. On-site podiatry and acceptance of psychiatric cases eliminate many off-campus trips. Caregivers can provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they are trained in walker and wheelchair support, standby supervision, one-person transfers, and two-person transfers when a higher lift need arises.
Apartments can include a private bathroom, a kitchenette, basic furnishings, independent temperature controls, cable service, and the option for residents to paint or otherwise personalize the space; however, not every unit has each feature, so it is best to confirm availability when touring. Independent Living residents benefit from weekly housekeeping, personal laundry service, and a monthly meal plan that leaves them free to pursue outside interests without worrying about chores.
Meals are available from a set menu or made to order, and snacks are provided throughout the day. The kitchen staff handles sodium-restricted, diabetic, and other physician-ordered diets, ensuring that each resident receives accurate nutritional support. Independent Living residents who opt into the monthly meal plan take their meals in the same dining room, giving them social time while retaining the flexibility to cook in their own kitchenette when they choose.
Amenities include resident parking, outside smoking areas, wheelchair accessibility, a barber and beauty salon, an exercise room, a movie room, a wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, on-site religious services, scheduled transportation, and proximity to public transit for personal outings. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
