Waterstone at Wellesley provides three levels of residential care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—under one roof. The community is prepared to manage residents who wander at any time of day, exhibit behavioral concerns, are younger than 60, live with advanced dementia, or require monitoring for diabetes managed by oral medications. On-site medical services include podiatry and dental visits, and the staff welcomes residents with psychiatric diagnoses. An RN or LPN is on staff, and a licensed nurse is on call around the clock to coordinate care and respond to emergencies.

Care delivery is supported by background-checked personnel who remain awake on the night shift and by a secure environment that includes 24-hour staffing, alarmed doors, fenced outdoor areas, pull-cord alert systems, and optional PERS devices that can contact staff or 911. Residents who need help with activities of daily living can receive full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Mobility support ranges from simple standby help to one-person or two-person transfers, and the community can accommodate walkers and wheelchairs. An Activity Director oversees daily programming designed to maintain cognitive and physical abilities.

Apartments may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, individual climate controls, cable hookup, and the option to paint or decorate, although not every unit offers every feature. Housekeeping is provided, and Independent Living residents can also opt for medication-management monitoring, housekeeping, and laundry services, along with a monthly meal plan.

Dining offers a set daily menu, an on-order option for more choice, and snacks available throughout the day. A private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings, and the kitchen staff is equipped to handle diet modifications, including gluten-free requests.

Community amenities include resident parking, outdoor smoking areas, and wheelchair-accessible common spaces. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Residents have access to a barber and beauty shop, exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, concierge services, a library, and various special-interest clubs. Public transportation is nearby, and a community shuttle is available for medical appointments.
