The Arbors at Stoneham provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, allowing residents to shift among levels of support without leaving the community. The Memory Care program is designed to serve individuals who wander in the morning or evening, demonstrate exit-seeking behavior, have combative or other behavioral issues, stay awake overnight, or live with advanced dementia. Staff are trained to manage residents under 60, diabetics on oral medications, and those who need special diets, ensuring consistent medical oversight across each care type.
Round-the-clock clinical coverage includes an RN or LPN on site and a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Night staff are awake, doors are alarmed, and Wander Guard technology adds another layer of security. Emergency pull cords and personal emergency response systems can alert staff or dial 911. A visiting podiatrist comes to the building, reducing the need for off-site appointments. Full assistance is available with bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting, and the team can accommodate transfers ranging from walker or wheelchair support to one-person or two-person assists, as well as simple standby supervision.
Residences offer straightforward comforts such as private bathrooms, kitchenettes, independent temperature controls, and cable service, and residents may paint or decorate their rooms. Because floor plans vary, not every apartment includes every listed feature, so it is advisable to confirm specific details during a tour.
Meals are served three times a day with both set menus and made-to-order options. Snacks are kept on hand between meals, and the kitchen honors physician-ordered diet modifications or management plans, including diabetic and other therapeutic diets.
Community amenities include resident parking, wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, an exercise room, movie room, wellness center, internet access, communal gardens, and on-site religious services. Local transportation is available for personal errands and medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
