Prospect House offers both Assisted Living and Memory Care, allowing residents to remain in the same community as needs change. The Memory Care program is set up to help individuals who wander during the day or night, who present elopement risks, or who manage diabetes with oral medications. Staff members are trained to support moderate dementia conditions, and the community can transition a resident to hospice services when appropriate.
Daily clinical oversight is supported by 12–16 hours of on-site nursing, an RN or LPN on staff, and a nurse on call around the clock. All direct-care shifts are awake, and the building is secured with door alarms, a fenced rear area, and personal emergency response systems that alert staff. Residents can receive assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting when they need some physical help. Transfer aid ranges from standby supervision to a one-person assist, and walkers or wheelchairs are accommodated. Medication management, incontinence care, and ambulatory support are available to residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Apartments vary in size and layout, but many include a private bathroom and some have a kitchenette for light meal preparation. Basic cable, housekeeping, and scheduled laundry services are provided; prospective residents should confirm which features come with the specific unit they are considering.
Meals follow a set menu prepared by the culinary team, and snacks are available between meal times. A private dining room can be reserved for family visits or special occasions, allowing residents to host guests without leaving the building.
Residents have access to on-site parking, and outdoor smoking areas are designated for those who choose to smoke. A barber and beauty shop, communal gardens, and a library offer regular options for personal care and leisure. Scheduled transportation is available for appointments or outings, and the building is also close to public transit for residents and visitors who prefer that option.
