Rockridge offers both Assisted Living and Independent Living, allowing residents to select the level of day-to-day support that matches their needs. For individuals who require clinical oversight, staff are trained to manage wandering behaviors morning or night, elopement risk, oxygen use, and “up all night” sleep patterns. Diabetes care is available for residents on oral medication, injections, or sliding-scale insulin, and the community accepts adults under 60 as well as those with advanced dementia.
Registered nurses or LPNs are on site during the day, with a nurse on call 24 hours for urgent concerns. All team members undergo background checks, and an awake night shift monitors the building, which has alarmed doors, fenced outdoor areas, and pull-cord or PERS systems that send immediate alerts to staff. An activity director coordinates daily programs, and on-site podiatry visits reduce the need for outside appointments; the community will also accept residents with psychiatric diagnoses. Staff can help with bathing, dressing, and toileting when some physical assistance is needed, provide standby supervision at meals, and perform one-person transfers for walkers or wheelchairs.
Residences include a mix of studio and one-bedroom layouts; some have kitchenettes, cable service, private baths, independent temperature controls, and furnished setups, while others may not include every feature. Residents can personalize their apartments with paint or décor. Weekly housekeeping and linen service are standard in Assisted Living, and Independent Living tenants can elect additional options such as housekeeping, laundry, medication-management monitoring, and a monthly meal plan.
Meals feature a set menu with alternate entrées available on request, and kitchen staff accommodate physician-ordered diets and personal preferences. Snacks are accessible throughout the day, and residents may opt for on-order selections at breakfast or lunch. Independent Living residents who do not choose the full meal plan can still purchase individual meals or attend special holiday dinners.
Amenities include an exercise room, movie theater, barber and beauty salon, communal gardens, internet access, resident parking, and a wheelchair-accessible design throughout the building. Scheduled transportation connects residents to local appointments and Northampton’s public transit stops, and on-site religious services are held regularly. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
