Methuen Village at Riverwalk Park offers Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care, with programs that can adjust as residents’ needs change. The community is prepared for residents who wander at any time of day, are at risk of elopement, stay awake overnight, rely on oxygen, follow special diets, or manage diabetes with oral medications. Its Memory Care neighborhood is equipped to support advanced dementia conditions and emphasizes consistency and cueing to keep residents oriented and engaged.
Direct care is backed by licensed nurses on staff with an RN or LPN available around the clock and an on-call nurse 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks, the building is staffed and secured at all times, and exterior doors are alarmed with a fenced rear area for added safety. Night shifts are awake, emergency pull cords and personal emergency response systems alert staff, and an Activity Director coordinates daily programming. Podiatry, audiology, dental services, and a dedicated therapy room are brought on site. Residents who need full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting receive that help, and transfer support ranges from standby supervision to two-person transfers for those using walkers or wheelchairs.
Apartments can include a private bathroom, kitchenette, independent temperature controls, and housekeeping, although not every unit has every feature. Scheduled laundry service is available, and Independent Living residents can receive weekly housekeeping, laundry, and a monthly meal plan while still maintaining their own routines.
Dining is flexible. Three daily meals are prepared with diet modifications for diabetes, low-sodium, and other physician-ordered restrictions. Meals can be ordered on demand, snacks are stocked throughout the day, and a private dining room is available for family gatherings.
Amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a barber and beauty shop, exercise and movie rooms, a wellness center, communal gardens, concierge services, a library, special-interest clubs, and scheduled transportation for shopping, appointments, and outings. Pets are allowed. It’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
