Golden Pond offers three levels of residency—Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care—so residents can receive the appropriate support as their needs change. The community is prepared for a wide range of medical situations, including residents who wander during the day or night, have a history of elopement, show combative or other behavioral issues, stay up all night, require oxygen, follow special diets, are under 60 years old, or manage diabetes with oral medications. The Memory Care neighborhood is structured to support advanced dementia conditions, and care teams are trained to intervene quickly if behavior or safety issues arise.
Clinical oversight is anchored by licensed nurses on staff, with an RN or LPN available around the clock and a nurse on call 24/7. All employees undergo background checks, a night shift remains awake, and the building is secured with door alarms, pull cords, and a personal emergency response system that can contact 911 directly. Bathing, eating, dressing, and toileting assistance can be provided at a full-assistance level, and transfer help ranges from standby support to two-person or Hoyer lift transfers. On-site medical services include podiatry, and the community accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses, helping to minimize outside appointments.
Residences come in several layouts; some include private bathrooms, kitchenettes, individual climate controls, permission to paint or decorate, and cable access, though not every unit has every feature. Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance are provided, and Independent Living residents can choose additional services such as medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry, and a monthly meal plan.
Meals are served three times daily with both set menus and made-to-order selections, and snacks are available throughout the day. The culinary team manages special diets for diabetes, low-sodium, or other physician-ordered modifications. Independent Living residents who purchase the monthly meal plan may take any or all daily meals in the main dining room or request them to go.
The campus supplies resident parking, outside smoking areas, wheelchair-accessible common rooms, an exercise room, wellness center, barber/beauty shop, movie room, internet access, and communal gardens. Pets are allowed, and it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed. Scheduled transportation is offered for medical appointments, shopping, and local outings.
