The Atrium at Veronica Drive delivers a single, specialized level of support—Memory Care—for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease, other dementias, and related cognitive disorders. Care plans accommodate residents who wander day or night, display exit-seeking or combative behaviors, stay awake overnight, require special diets, manage diabetes with oral medication, or are younger than 60. Staff members are trained to recognize and respond to the progression of advanced dementia and can adapt supervision, redirection, and therapeutic programming as conditions change.
Around-the-clock clinical oversight is maintained through an on-site RN/LPN team and a nurse who is on call 24 hours a day. All employees undergo background checks, and the building is equipped with alarmed doors, a fenced rear area, pull-cord alerts, a personal emergency response system, and awake night staff. Full-assistance care is available for bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Transfer help ranges from standby supervision to two-person or Hoyer-lift support for residents who use walkers or wheelchairs. On-site providers visit regularly for podiatry, dental, audiology, and psychiatric services, reducing the need for outside appointments.
Resident rooms are offered in several layouts, and not all units include every feature, but options may include a private bathroom, basic furnishings, individual climate controls, cable hookup, and the ability to paint or decorate. Routine housekeeping and scheduled laundry are part of the monthly service package.
The culinary program supplies three daily meals with a choice between set menus and made-to-order entrées, plus snacks and the option to dine in-room or in a private dining space with family. Modified diets are available, including gluten-free, vegetarian, mechanical-chopped, pureed, and thickened-liquid preparations to meet physician orders or personal preferences.
Community amenities include wheelchair-accessible common areas, a beauty and barber shop, internet access, a library, concierge services, communal gardens with a gazebo, and on-site religious services. Scheduled transportation helps residents reach outside appointments and local errands. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
