Carleton-Willard Village Retirement & Nursing Center offers four levels of care—Assisted Living, Independent Living, Residential Care, and Memory Care—under one license. The community is able to accept residents younger than 60 when needed and is structured to support advanced dementia, including late-stage conditions. By combining these service lines on one campus, the provider can keep couples together even when their needs differ and allow residents to transition without moving off-site.
The medical and personal-care infrastructure is designed for residents who need routine oversight or total assistance. A registered nurse or LPN is on duty around the clock, with another nurse on call if an issue arises, and all staff members undergo background checks. Awake night shifts, pull-cord and PERS alert systems, and WanderGuard technology add additional safeguards. Full-service assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting is available, and caregivers can handle mobility ranging from walker support to two-person or full Hoyer transfers. On-site clinicians provide podiatry, audiology, dental services, and a dedicated therapy room to minimize outside appointments.
Apartments range from compact studios to larger one-bedroom layouts, and not every unit includes every feature. Options may include a private bathroom, kitchenette, in-unit laundry, cable service, or the ability to paint and decorate to personal taste. Housekeeping and scheduled laundry services are part of the standard package for higher care levels.
Meals are prepared from a set menu with snacks available throughout the day. Residents may dine in the main restaurant, request in-room service, or reserve a private dining room for family visits. Independent Living residents can select a monthly meal plan, and the village also offers medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, and laundry services specifically for this lifestyle tier.
Amenities are designed to keep residents engaged on campus. The property features resident parking, wheelchair-accessible pathways, an exercise room, pool, wellness center, movie room, and barber-beauty shop. Internet access, a library, communal gardens, special-interest clubs, and on-site religious services provide daily variety, while concierge services coordinate transportation, including a shuttle for medical appointments. Pets are allowed; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
