The Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant offers three levels of residential care—Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care—on the same campus. Independent Living residents have access to wellness clinics and scheduled health screenings, while Assisted Living residents receive help with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication management under the supervision of licensed nurses. The Memory Care neighborhood uses a secure environment and structured programming for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, and it maintains an increased staff-to-resident ratio to support continuous monitoring. In all settings, an on-call medical director and registered nurses coordinate with outside physicians, laboratories, and pharmacies to make sure care plans remain current.
Additional clinical support features include 24-hour emergency response, on-site rehabilitation services for physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and routine monitoring of blood pressure, weight, and chronic conditions. Staff can arrange transportation to outside medical appointments and facilitate telehealth visits when necessary. The community pharmacy service assists with medication ordering, packaging, and refills, and the nursing team tracks adherence and side-effects. Residents who require short-term skilled nursing after surgery or illness can transition to an available higher-acuity area without leaving the campus, helping to reduce re-hospitalizations.
Accommodation options range from studio suites to one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as private and companion suites in Memory Care. Most units include individually controlled heating and cooling, kitchenette or full kitchen, emergency call system, and basic cable or Wi-Fi, although not all accommodations have all the features just listed. Housekeeping, linen service, and routine maintenance are provided, and garages or covered parking may be available for independent residents who still drive. The community allows pets in certain living areas; it’s a good idea to check with the community during your visit to see if your pet will be allowed.
Residents take their meals in a central dining room that offers table service and rotating menus planned by a registered dietitian. Three daily meals are included for Assisted Living and Memory Care, and flexible dining packages are available for Independent Living. Entrées accommodate low-sodium, diabetic, and texture-modified diets, and snacks and beverages are accessible throughout the day. A café provides lighter fare, while a private dining room can be reserved for family gatherings. Meal plans vary by residence type, and carry-out options are offered for those who prefer to dine in their own apartment.
