Brookeville House II at Sunshine* provides Assisted Living, Residential Care Home, and Memory Care programs, allowing residents to transition between levels of support without moving to another community. The team is equipped to manage advanced dementia needs and complex conditions such as wandering behaviors in the morning or evening, elopement risk, and residents who are up all night. Clinical oversight extends to wound care, oxygen therapy, special diet preparation, and full diabetic management—whether the resident uses oral medications, injections, or a sliding-scale regimen. Adults under 60 who need these same services can also be accommodated.
Registered and licensed nurses are on staff, backed by a nurse on call 24 hours a day. Night shifts are awake, background checks are standard, and security measures include a fenced rear yard, door alarms, and WanderGuard technology. A visiting podiatrist handles on-site foot care. Direct care aides can give full assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and they are trained to perform all levels of transfers—from standby help to two-person lifts and Hoyer‐supported moves for bed-bound residents.
Private and semi-private rooms are available; some but not all come with a private bathroom, furnishings, and cable service. A set menu with scheduled meal times is offered, along with snacks throughout the day and diet modifications as ordered by a physician or dietitian. Residents who require texture adjustments, carbohydrate counts, or low-sodium dishes receive those accommodations without extra cost.
Independent-living tenants can enroll in medication-management monitoring, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry, and a monthly meal plan that grants access to the main dining program. These services allow healthier residents to maintain autonomy while still benefiting from clinical oversight and domestic support.
The building is wheelchair accessible and includes a dedicated movie room, communal gardens, and a stair glide for safer movement between floors.
