Lilly'S Quality Care Assisted Living in Gwynn Oak delivers two levels of service: assisted living and residential care home support. Residents who need help with daily activities—such as bathing, dressing, mobility and medication administration—receive scheduled and unscheduled assistance from on-site caregivers around the clock. Individuals whose needs are lighter but who still prefer a staffed environment can reside under the residential care home model, which provides a more homelike setting while still giving access to all clinical services available in the assisted living program.
Beyond routine assistance, licensed nurses oversee medication management, vital-sign monitoring and coordination of physician visits. On-call medical professionals, including podiatrists and therapists, visit the community as needed. Staff members follow care plans developed in consultation with residents, families and medical providers, and emergency response systems connect each living area directly to caregivers 24 hours a day. The community can arrange transportation to outside medical appointments, and care plans are updated whenever a resident’s health status changes.
Accommodations include private and shared rooms with individual climate controls, basic furnishings, cable or internet readiness and barrier-free bathrooms equipped with grab bars and emergency pull cords. Some rooms feature additional conveniences such as step-in showers, larger closets or in-room seating areas, but not every unit offers all of these options. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided on a predetermined schedule, and maintenance is handled by on-site personnel.
Residents take meals in a central dining room where staff serve three daily dishes prepared to meet nutritional guidelines for older adults. Menus incorporate resident preferences and physician-ordered therapeutic diets, including diabetic-friendly and low-sodium selections. Alternate entrées are available at each sitting, and snacks and beverages are on hand throughout the day. For residents unable to dine in the communal space because of illness or mobility challenges, meal trays can be delivered to their rooms.
