Bakerview Manor offers both Assisted Living and Residential Care Home levels of service, allowing residents to receive the amount of help they need without leaving the community. The clinical program accommodates residents with elopement risk, non-aggressive behavioral concerns, special diet requirements, diabetes managed with oral medication, and adults younger than 60. Mild dementia is supported, and on-site podiatry is available. The community also accepts residents with psychiatric diagnoses, coordinating care with outside clinicians when necessary.
Daily care is carried out by a licensed nursing team that includes an RN or LPN on staff and a nurse on call around the clock. Background-checked caregivers provide 24-hour staffing, with night-shift personnel on site and security measures such as a fenced rear yard and alarmed doors. Assistance is available for bathing at a full-help level, while eating, dressing, and toileting are provided with standby supervision. Residents who use a walker or only need standby help for transfers can be safely accommodated.
Private and semi-private accommodations are furnished and include basic housekeeping and scheduled laundry, though not every unit has all features.
Meals are served from a set menu with snacks available throughout the day. The kitchen can handle a range of diet modifications, including mechanical-chopped, puréed, thickened-liquid, and other physician-ordered diets.
Bakerview Manor maintains resident parking, allows smoking outdoors, and offers an in-house barber and beauty shop. Internet access, communal gardens, scheduled transportation, and proximity to public transit give residents practical options for staying connected to the community at large.
